The oldest drum circle in the states?

OK folks. I was talking to a friend today and we were discussing where the oldest drum circle is at. The drum circle has to meet every week on the same day without missing a week. My first thought was Hippie Hill in SF, but I'm not sure if it has ever missed a week.

It seems like I remember one in Santa Cruz too. To much of everything to remember that far back though.

There's one in Norfolk that has 9yrs +.

the Malcom X drummers and dancers is a fairly traditional african drum circle that has been in Maridian Hill Park in DC since the 60's and is still going every warm sunday.

I'll have to check that out next time I'm up there. What time does it start?

five or you can show up before and watch it forming, it is an intense circle or lines actually with lots of dancers its great, if your real good you want to show up with a vvery tight high sound to dance along on top of the really seriously loud and solid pulse.

druid hill in Baltimore has been going a long time to and has some really sweet seriously creative drumming, almost african world beat jazz, one guy i met there has been going for 35 years. that was the highest QUALITY drum circle i have been in, very nice people working it out together lots of listening going on starts at ffive, the malcom x group is more like a free for all, which is cool but it is much less intricate than the druid hill circle i like them both malcom x is about high energy and dancers whereas druid hill is about commubnication between drummers and skill
