Hi - I just joined this tribe :) I recently bought a doumbek and other than DVD instruction, I would like to actually practice with drummers or take classes. I live north of Tampa and am looking for classes in that area - New Port Richey or there abouts.

Hey, come over and down to Ft. Lauderdale...you can take lessons from Joe Zytoonian and play with a bunch of us!

take a drive south to tampa near university of south florida. check out a place called Skippers Smokehouse. its a restasurant/venue and Thursday nights they host a mid.size drum circle. This is a good palce to network with drummers in the area who may know of doumbek instructors.
